DANCE IN PROGRESS
Movement in exile is an inspiring festival for contemporary dance and performance art with origin in per definition"non western" dance forms. The festival encourage progression,
meeting of different dance forms as well as development in new environments.
Movement in exile 2009 presents flamenco, tango, Egyptian contemporary dance, Indian film dance, seminar, masterclass, milonga and workshop for children.
THURSDAY 5/11Take place - music- and dance performances with following discussions.

Take Place - a project for equality between the sexes that aims to increase the amount of women at leading positions in the culture area and especially in the field of Folk/Worldmusic and -dance. In cooperation with RfoD (A national organisation for folkmusic and dance).
Friday 6/11Glöd- with as-Sayf- contemporary Egyptian dance. Premiere!

After works like Shaabi:Folk and Kaleidoskop as-Sayf returns with their new work GLÖD (GLOW where tradition and contemporary expressions are fused into a peculiar dance experience. With live music!

An exiting tango nuevo performance straight from Buenos Aires. Episodes Tango Fusion is a product of intensive exploration in tango nuevo influenced by contemporary dance, contact improvisation and drama.

SATURDAY 7/11Cuando uno quiere y el otro no - flamencoperformance with Marco Vargas & Chloé Brûlé Company 19.30
Playful and serious about love and forgiveness in conflict. Marco Vargas & Chloé Brûlé are seen as one of the premiere creative interpreters of flamenco in Spain. They have received many awards, for best contemporary work in flamenco during 2008 among others. Don´t miss this unique guest performance!
